LAW OF PREVENTIVE FIRE PROTECTION

When it comes to building security, one of the mandatory things is fire protection.

The Law on the Ministry of the Interior mentions the ways in which fire alarm systems , fire suppression systems and fire hydrants should be coordinated, prevented and maintained.

SUPPORT FROM LICENSED COMPANIES

Art. 129 of the LMI regulates the way in which licensed companies can provide assistance to the General Directorate for Fire Safety and Civil Protection. By law, licensed companies can take over the maintenance of fire alarm systems, incl. and fire suppressions and fire hydrants. This maintenance should be done every 3 months and annually by licensed companies. Тhe responsible employees of the sites must carry out the daily inspection for the serviceability of the fire safety systems.

SERVICE PREVENTION AND MAINTENANCE OF FIRE ALARM SYSTEM, FIRE SUPPRESSIONS AND FIRE HYDRANTS

Fire protection systems and equipment are among the main elements of any building. Fire alarm systems are life-saving and are required by law for many buildings. In addition, they are subject to periodic tests and maintenance.

YEARLY AND QUARTERLY SYSTEM MAINTENANCE

The maintenance of the systems is carried out once a year and every three months. They should be carried out by a licensed company, which should be established by a two-sided contract, which also regulates the emergency situations and site visits regarding the systems, fire suppressions and fire hydrants.

DAILY INSPECTIONS OF THE SYSTEMS

The daily monitoring of the serviceability of the system should be performed by an employee selected by the site manager, who should visually inspect the serviceability of the fire alarm system, fire extinguishers and fire hydrants on a daily basis.

SYSTEMS MAINTENANCE AND DOCUMENTATION

DOCUMENTATION KEEPING SOFTWARE

HOW TO CHECK, PROFILE AND MAINTAIN?

Fire protection systems and equipment are subject to periodic maintenance.

• Fire alarm systems require daily inspection of the equipment, quarterly and annual technical inspection by a certified company.
• Fire protection systems (eg fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, etc.) must be inspected monthly and once a year must undergo a technical inspection and testing, again by a certified company..
