Danger Management Systems (DMS)

Danger Management System DMS (Danger Management System) is a combination of all security systems united by a single software. VAiOS has its own software platform with which it integrates access control, video surveillance, fire alarm, alarm-security system, parking systems. In a word, all security systems.

Management System of dangers

One of the most serious cases to resolve is always security related. Danger Management System DMS is used to monitor and manage site security services. In particular security monitoring and management.

How to most effectively and efficiently monitor and control all security systems in one place?

The Hazard Management System/DMS/ was invented and created to address this very problem. One of the most important elements of DMS is predefined scenarios. They allow all security systems to work together, following certain procedures in different danger situations. VAiOS DMS Software – Hazard Management System, brings together all known security solutions. With the built-in automation, you can simultaneously control /separately and together/ each module, and its unification gives possibilities for combined scenarios in emergency situations involving different modules.

Primary purpose of a DMS (Danger Management System)

To concentrate all events in the facility that may endanger personnel or property. A hazard management system DMS can offer control and management capabilities to some extent, although not as a primary function of operations automation. Rather as an auxiliary function and help in managing critical situations.In facilities where several different security systems are installed, DMS is a proven effective solution. It provides timely and accurate information about every event in the facility. Reduces the response time of security personnel and guides the user to the correct steps to take.

Experience shows that the weakest link in a facility hazard is the human factor. DMS allows the same information to be distributed selectively to multiple locations. This minimizes the possibility of human error by enabling a response from any control point.

For these reasons, the hazard management system must provide transparent monitoring of the situation. With clear graphic and text instructions for personnel, for the operations to be performed in each alarm event. DMS programming should be done by experts with professional experience in implementing this type of system.

As a designer of DMS systems, we have information and a clear picture of all levels of danger and the most critical points in the facility. Response guidelines for each alarm level and critical locations, response guidelines for other crisis situations in the facility, alert mechanism. Also an alert and notification hierarchy and a document to be available to security personnel for various events.

Advantages of designing a hazard management system

Some of the aspects that are considered when designing a hazard management system are:

  • Flexibility – hazard management system is designed and configured for different situations. In accordance with the requirement to cover all possible situations;
  • Security – with concepts of autonomous subsystems and distributed control, the system offers full assurance to personnel that the required function is performed. Additionally, redundant configurations can be applied to completely eliminate the system error;
  • Protection – the operator controls and monitors those specific events that are defined for his access level;
  • Simplicity – interactive graphical communication and clear text information make management simple, even in the most complex facilities;
  • Analysis – all events are archived, allowing a clear inspection of alarms, manual operations and system users. Data can be categorized based on various criteria to obtain detailed and statistical information useful for further improvements in facility protection;
  • Integration – the architecture of the hazard management system is designed to integrate different system solutions and integrate equipment produced by different manufacturers. An integration module should be developed for each different system.

Modules in VAiOS DMS – Hazard Management System

  • Access Control module

    Lead in VAiOS DMS. The main reason for this is the direct binding of the module with locking mechanisms, which is essential for security as well as for implementing emergency scenarios. The module has detailed software based on the software for working time control that can track security, access and presence in the building;

  • Alarm/SOT module

    It is an automated software tied into the DMS hazard management system. In general, the module performs the role of informing the main software about emergency messages. According to the nature of the message, the system switches to different modes – automated scenarios; local alarm activation; notification to an employee/manager/owner (according to the type of the protected object);

  • Video surveillance module

    It gives the ability to monitor the object in real time and recording directly through the account in the VAiOS DMS software, which frees you from the need to install additional software. Simply log into your account and the web-based software does the rest.In addition to these conveniences, the module can be built with cameras that recognize bio data or other characteristic elements (car numbers), which expands the application of the video surveillance module even more;

  • Fire Alarm Module

    A core part of VAiOS DMS. Its function at the local level to ensure security is equally important. As part of the overall DMS, the fire alarm module has key functions in ensuring the safety of people in the site: it sends a signal locally in the site for an emergency; reports an emergency to the fire department; communicates with the notification module for selecting and activating the corresponding message; communicates with the fire extinguishing module to activate the fire extinguishing points in the facility.

  • Disclosure module

    Designed to perform two main functions in VAiOS DMS: Performs the role of an additional alarm panel, being activated through speakers in the facility with recorded messages for specific actions and procedures to be performed in the event of an emergency; at the same time, it sends an automatic signal to the police, fire service and emergency services for an accident on the site.

  • Television system

  • Telephone system

  • Addressing system

Principles of Unification of Hazard Management Systems DMS

The first stage of unifying all security systems in one platform is the correct positioning and installation of hardware devices in buildings. All end devices (sensors, sirens, video cameras, access control readers etc.) are united by the so-called controllers, which are separate devices supplied by the manufacturer.

All systems have individual communication protocols that convert the signals from the terminals into recognizable packets. These packets are moved over LAN-like communication between controllers and, at a higher level, between buildings. These packets are read by the devices via the communication SDK. Through it, any device can be depicted in a graphical state, processes and movements that occur in the system in real time. Responsible personnel monitor processes and, if necessary, take appropriate response measures.

Communication and Functionality

In addition, the information displayed about the system monitored by each SDK communication system, communicates with other DMS hazard management system subsystems. In this way, automation is achieved that can perform certain functions without the need for human intervention. We develop precisely these software modules that communicate and carry out processes between subsystems. The software modules that are being built not only directly communicate with the hardware devices of different manufacturers, but also with their software.

This ensures full uniformity and functionality of the systems. It shows all the processes in the schedule. We will provide a centralized monitoring and control system for all security functions and events with rich functionality. It is based on software modules developed for all security subsystems. Server and client side software. The server part is installed on a computer that records in real time every event from technical equipment. The client part can be installed on the server computer or computers connected in a local network or the Internet. It is used to manage all software modules.
Our team works daily to develop BMS and DMS systems and their integration.
